How to stop receiving SMS advertising movistar

For weeks Movistar, colloquially known as Vomistar, merely send SMS stupid for supposedly saving promotions or advertising on SMS take me for a fool.

Luckily I found a website where they explain how to disable the receipt of those damn SMS advertising. The process is very simple:

  1. We set * # 102 # and we will call (for free, in fact not even make a call). Now we appear on the screen some facts about our SIM card. Well, we have to aim the 5 digits that appear (they are the last 5 numbers on the SIM).
  2. We call the toll free number movistar 4407, after a pre-recorded message, we ask the previous 5 digits. The mark and receive an SMS to modify our web advertising preferences.
  3. We enter the page Movistar data protection , we write our phone number and the password sent to us by SMS. If we have several lines, fill the third option, but we leave it blank.
  4. Press the Edit button state rights, and mark not agree to the kind of publicity we want to stop receiving, which can be movistar promotions or publicity.

Done. No more SMS-style:

Published: Movistar published: The 50,000 Euros are yours today? Nobody knows yet, but CAN BE! Send MILLION now to 1010 and try your LUCK (1.2 + VAT)

We can always change the key (in case we have lost) calling back the number 4407.
